New Rake Allocation Method – Launching July 1st
A new revolutionary method of rake allocation, called True Value, will be live on the Microgaming Poker Network from the first of July. True Value will have no influence on players or the sums in pots what so ever, but affiliates will earn their rev share based on the method.
Lydia Melton, Head of Network Games at Microgaming, states: “This is our biggest release thus far this year, and we believe it is one of the most important releases in online poker.”
How does it work?
True Value only operates on cash games and has two core functions. First off, it assigns player rake to operators based upon their historical activity. This is different to the traditional method because it’s not just based on volume, but also activity and win/loss ratio.
This means that a players’ rank will depend and vary according to wins and losses in cash games. A losing or break-even player will create more rake for affiliates, while a winning player will create less returns.
Secondly, True Value offers new players greater value, allowing them to generate a greater-than-average amount of rake, thus appealing to both operators and affiliates to consistently acquire new players.
